About eight months ago, I got into a minor fender bender where I was at fault. The damage was negligible and no one was hurt, so no claim or police report was made. Will this accident affect my insurance premium?

Since there’s no police report or claim for it, this means there shouldn’t be an insurance record of the fender bender.When insurance companies are drawing up a new policy or renewing an existing one, they check your motor vehicle report and claims history. They won’t show any record of your accident, so your rate shouldn’t suddenly spike.
