Will damage to my car from a snowplow be covered under my homeowners insurance policy?
If one of the snowplows damages my car, would it be covered under my homeowner's policy? I live in Connecticut and we get tons of snow. The snow plowers in this area drive crazy and it makes me worry about my car.

Make sure to let your insurance carrier know that the accident was done by a plow, whether it was a local company or a plow sent out by your city. This would be considered a not-at-fault accident and your carrier will look to be reimbursed by the responsible party. You may even get the deductible back!
The best thing to do in winter is to keep your car parked in your driveway as much as possible. This way, wild snow plow drivers won’t be a concern.”
