Will a cold air intake void my Ford warranty?
I have a 2021 F-150 Supercrew and am wondering if my warranty will be voided if I install an aftermarket cold air intake?

Short answer, no—adding a cold air intake should not void your Ford warranty.
In general, no aftermarket modifications will completely void your warranty, regardless of what those modifications are or what kind of Ford you drive. However, the long answer is a bit more complicated than that.
In the United States, a manufacturer (in this case, Ford) of a warranted product (in this case, an
F-150
truck) may void or deny warranty coverage of a repair due to the use of an aftermarket part (in this case, a cold air intake) if the manufacturer cannot provide proof or evidence that the aftermarket part is the cause of the necessary repair. But if your Ford ends up malfunctioning down the line, repairs may not be covered, if Ford can assert that the aftermarket cold air intake is to blame. Of course, this doesn’t apply to vehicle components that have nothing to do with the cold air intake. For example, if your power windows stop functioning, your warranty surely won’t be voided.
