Why is the cruise control light blinking on my Subaru?
I was driving in my Subaru the other day when I looked down and noticed the cruise control light flashing. I have no idea what this means and I can’t seem to find my owner’s manual. Why is my Subaru cruise control light blinking?

A blinking cruise control light could mean several different things, including a sensor, electrical, or mechanical problem. However, it more directly means that your cruise control has been temporarily disabled due to other issues with your vehicle.
Some of the issues commonly associated with blinking cruise control light on a Subaru include:
- A blown fuse that relates to your cruise control system
- Faulty speed sensor, which means that your Subaru can’t maintain a proper speed in cruise control
- Failure of certain components of the throttle or braking system, although not always essential parts
Your car is often still safe to drive when the cruise control light is flashing, but you should take your car to a mechanic as soon as possible to diagnose the problem.
