The standard non-hybrid Hyundai Elantra powertrain is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque in the SE and SEL models. So, your answer is four.
While respectable, these numbers aren’t anything to write home about. If you opt for the sportier N Line model, you’ll be looking at a peppier 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.
