Why did State Farm terminate my car insurance policy?

My daughter lives with us, has her own car, and hasn't had any accidents. But I got a notice from State Farm saying that they were canceling my insurance due to something about my daughter not being on my policy. Why is this a problem?

“Generally speaking, everyone in your household who is of driving age must be listed on your
car insurance
policy. This is because, in theory, anyone in your home could drive your car, and this presents a certain level of risk. This is probably why State Farm canceled your policy.
But if your daughter has her own insurance in addition to her own car, then she wouldn’t have to be on your policy. You would have the option of excluding your daughter from your policy, which would free your insurance company from providing coverage for her.
Try calling
State Farm
and explaining your situation. If your daughter has her own insurance, you can try making her an excluded driver on your policy.”
