Whose injuries does renters insurance cover?

One of my friends slipped and fell in my apartment. She wasn't hurt, but this has me wondering whose injuries my renters insurance covers. Am I covered? What about friends, family, or strangers?

“Most renters insurance policies will cover medical payments with a limit of $1,000 to $5,000 per person, depending on what’s listed on your policy. So if someone slips and falls (whether they be a friend, family member, or stranger), you’d have that amount of coverage to help them pay for any medical bills.
They would also have the ability to sue you, in which case your liability coverage on your renters policy would protect you.
However, you can’t use renters insurance to make a claim if you get hurt inside your own residence. If you happen to slip and fall and need some stitches, this is where your health insurance would kick in. “
