Which side of the car is an electric charge port on?

I’ve noticed a few EV charging stations pop up around my neighborhood, but I don’t understand quite how you’re supposed to park when using one. Which side of the car is an electric charge port on?

Great question! Much like the location of the
gas tank
on gas-powered cars, the location of the charging port on an
electric car
can vary depending on the make and model of your vehicle.
The charging port on an EV can be in any of the following locations:
  • The front left side
  • The rear right side.
  • Front and center.
  • Rear left.
  • Rear right.
If you’re new to electric cars, keep in mind that filling up to 80% of your battery’s capacity can still take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes on average with a DC fast charger, or a few hours on a Level 2 charger. While you’re waiting, check out the
