I’m going to get an OBD reader to scan for error codes on my beloved, broken-down Jeep so I can see if it’s worth fixing. Can you tell me where the OBD port is on a 1995 Jeep Wrangler?
might have an OBD-I system that doesn’t have a port**.
The OBD-II system that cars all have nowadays wasn’t made standard until 1996. Some 1995 Jeeps have them, and some have the older OBD-I system or EEC-IV. If yours has an OBD-I system, then there’s no OBD port location to be found. Rather, your Jeep Wrangler’s check engine light will blink the codes out in an automotive-type morse code after you turn your ignition on and off in a certain pattern.
If your 1995 Jeep Wrangler does have an OBD-II system, you will have a port—but the location had yet to be standardized. Your best bet might be to take your car to an auto parts store that can help you
