You will find the fuel pump relay on a ‘99 Ford Ranger on the driver’s side fender in the engine compartment.
The fuel pump relay switch is located in the power distribution box in the engine compartment, tucked closest to the windshield on the driver’s side. Before you start any work, Ford recommends disconnecting the battery!
If you look at the diagram in your owner’s manual, you will find that the fuel pump relay is labeled #5. Looking inside the power distribution box, you’ll find the position of the fuel pump relay four small fuse boxes down from the top.
Should you have any questions about where to locate parts on your Ranger, you can refer to your owner’s manual or consult a mechanic.
