Toyota has been a harbinger of quality for several decades, but your concerns are valid. Who wouldn’t want to buy American-made? The good news is that the Toyota RAV4 is built in the US at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Built in 1986, this factory is one of the oldest and largest Toyota assembly plants outside of Japan. It employs over 9,300 workers and gets excellent marks for quality on all of the cars that roll off its assembly line.
Aside from the RAV4, the plant also makes the Toyota Camry and the Lexus ES, as well as manufacturing several engines used in other Toyota vehicles.
