I’ve heard that Subarus are mostly made in Japan, but I’m hazy on the details. I think there may even be more than one factory. Where is Subaru’s factory in Japan?

You’re right that most Subarus are from Japan! The main Subaru factory in Japan is located in Ōta, Gunma Prefecture. There are several Subaru factory locations here, including the following:
Subaru-chō factory: Responsible for building the Subaru BRZ
Yajima plant: Where almost all current Subaru cars are made
Otakita plant: Manufactures Subaru Kei trucks
Oizumi plant: Makes engines and transmissions for Subaru
It’s also been announced that a new electric vehicle (EV) plant will be built near the Ōta factory in the next few years.
