Where is the Mazda 2 built?
My friend bought a Mazda 2 a handful of years ago and was telling me that all of Mazda’s vehicles are built in Japan—is this true for the Mazda 2 also?

Mazda 2
was initially built at the Hōfu plant in Japan, but some sources suggest that some production has shifted to the Mazda de México Vehicle Operation (MMVO) factory in Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico. But despite being produced in North America, the vehicle wasn’t solid in Canada or the United States.
However, there is no concrete information on exactly where the Mazda 2 is produced.
