You win this time! The Kia Niro has been manufactured at the Namyang Design Center, Kia’s primary design facility located in Hwaseong, South Korea since 2016.
The facility is shared with its parent company, Hyundai, and is located on over 3.3 million square meters of land. Kia and Hyundai employees from across the globe receive training at the Namyang Center. The campus also serves as the epicenter for Kia’s engineering work, including prototyping, track testing, crash testing, and other extensive design processes.
