The Fort Wayne Assembly Plant was opened by General Motors in Roanoke, Indiana in 1986. On the 4,600,000 sq ft plant, General Motors oversees the production, assembly, and painting of both the GMC Sierra and the Chevrolet Silverado, both of which are part of the company’s GMT T1XX vehicle platform.
