Where is the Chevy SS made?

I’ve read that the Chevy SS was the last great muscle car from Chevrolet that’s not named Camaro. I want the power, but I’m not sure if I want to buy a Camaro. Furthermore, I just want to make sure that the SS is produced in America. Where did Chevy make the SS?

Oddly enough, the Chevy SS was made in Australia. It’s one of only a handful of cars produced entirely Down Under yet made for American markets.
During the Chevy SS’s limited run from 2014 to 2017, the vehicle was produced at a GM plant in Elizabeth, South Australia, a suburb just north of the city of Adelaide.
But you’re certainly right about the power. With a 415-horsepower, 6.2-liter V8 under the hood, the SS can burn some serious rubber—even eclipsing many of the Camaros built during the same timeframe. If you’re a muscle car fan, the Chevy SS is a great choice.
