Where is the 2017 Ford Explorer OBD port location?

Where is the 2017 Ford Explorer OBD port location? I was going to ask my roommate to borrow their OBD scanner, but I don’t know where it would plug in on my car.

You should be able to find the 2017
Ford Explorer
OBD port location underneath your dashboard.
On a
Ford
Explorer, the OBD port location may be almost directly below the steering wheel and to the right of the hood release lever. On some model years, it’s on the left side of the dashboard and below the hood release lever.
OBD scanners can potentially save car owners a lot of time and money in the long run. If the problems it identifies are things you can tackle yourself, you won’t have to shell out extra cash for repairs. And if the problem is more serious, it can confirm that it is time to see a mechanic.
If you cannot find your 2017 Ford Explorer’s OBD port location on your own, you can always ask a mechanic to point it out to you the next time you bring your car in for
maintenance
or
car repairs
.
FYI: one thing an OBD scanner can’t check for is
car insurance
coverage gaps—so it’s a good idea to periodically check in on your policy to make sure you still have the protection you need!
