OBD scanners are useful, but only if you know where it plugs into your vehicle! You should be able to find the 2016
Nissan Sentra’s
OBD port location in the driver’s area of the cabin. The most common place to find an OBD port is on the lower portion of the vehicle’s dashboard, to the left or right of the steering wheel. In some vehicles, they can be found on the center console.
An on-board diagnostic (OBD-II) scanner can potentially help you save on
routine maintenance
and car repairs
. By plugging your OBD-II scanner into the port, you can note the error codes it detects and trace them back to the issues your Sentra may have. If the problem is an easy fix you can take care of yourself, you just spared yourself from an auto repair bill.
