Where is the 2013 Nissan Altima OBD port location?

I’ve had my 2013 Nissan Altima for about a decade and I’ve never had issues with it. Unfortunately, the check engine light came on last week, so I want to run a test with my OBD scanner. Where is the OBD port located in a 2013 Altima?

It’s so frustrating when issues start surfacing in your old, reliable ride! To diagnose the problem, you can find the 2013
Nissan Altima
’s OBD port location in the driver’s footwell, just above the brake pedal.
If you
understand car OBD codes
, you can import your OBD-II scanner into the 16-pin connector and start fixing your Altima. Here are some common Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) you might find:
  • P0010: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) issues
  • P0011: Issues with the engine oil and/or timing
  • P0101: Vacuum leaks and/or wiring issues
  • P0113: Airtake and temperature problems
  • P0200: Faulty fuel injector
These are just snapshots of what these codes cover, so it’s best to
take your car to a repair shop or mobile mechanic
to rule out any significant issues. Having a professional’s opinion is always recommended, especially if you have an
extended car warranty
you can put to use.
Hopefully, you won’t need to get expensive
car repairs
done—but it’s always good to maintain your Altima so it runs smoothly for years to come!
