The 2005 Ford F-150 does not have a serviceable fuel pump relay, but it does have a fuel pump fuse. In 2003, Ford moved the fuse box from under the hood to the passenger’s side of the vehicle. To get to the fusebox, follow these steps:
Once you have the cover removed, you can see all the fuses. The fuel pump fuse is a 20-amp (yellow) fuse located along the left-hand side of the fusebox—you can use the diagram on the lid of the fusebox to find it.
However, the fuel pump relay is not serviceable on the 2005 Ford F-150. That means that, unlike other fuses, you can’t remove it without taking apart the entire fuse box and resoldering it. As a result, you may have to take your truck in for service if replacing the basic fuel pump fuse doesn’t fix the problem.
