Where did the name Ford come from?

I’m always curious about how certain products get their names. I’ve done some research on other companies, but I’m not sure about Ford. How did the Ford Motor Company get its name?

Unlike some of the other automotive companies out there, the origin of Ford’s name is straightforward. The name Ford comes from the last name of founder Henry Ford.
Ford founded the company in Detroit, Michigan, on June 16, 1903. Today, the
Ford
name is recognized globally.
Henry Ford and the Ford Motor Company popularized many innovations in the automotive industry, including the moving assembly line, $5 workdays (unheard of at the time), and aluminum car bodies. Today, the company continues to unveil new ideas and innovations that make Ford a household name across the planet.
