Great question! Henry Ford invented the first Ford car, the Quadricycle, at his home in Detroit, Michigan.
Ford was working as an engineer at the Edison Illuminating Company, but he worked on his own projects in his spare time. After building a one-cylinder gasoline engine in 1893, Ford eventually designed and built the Quadricycle, which was a gas-powered vehicle with four bicycle wheels completed in 1896.
The successful first outing of the Quadricycle resulted from Ford’s hard work, inventiveness, and determination, which led him to earn the title of “genius of the automotive industry.”
