When is the 2023 BMW X5 45e’s release date?
I’m very interested in seeing (and maybe buying) the new BMW X5 45e, but I’m getting so impatient waiting for it. When will it be out?

Waiting for that new model to release can certainly feel like torture—especially when it’s a luxury plug-in hybrid we’re talking about. Luckily, it seems that we won’t have to wait too much longer. The 2023
BMW
X5 45e (aka the xDrive45e) release date is expected for late September 2022. To tide you over until then, here’s what we know about the 2023 BMW X5 45e so far:
- Starting price is jumping to $65,700
- All-electric driving range isn’t out yet, but is expected to be similar to the 2022 45e’s EPA-estimated 31 miles
- Its turbocharged 3.0L inline-six engine and electric motor will produce 389-hp and 443 lb-ft of torque
- Estimated fuel economy is 50 combined MPGe in electric mode and 20 mpg in hybrid mode
Hopefully, we’ll be learning much more about this high-class, luxury energy saver in the weeks to come. Remember, you can always test drive the current BMW X5 45e if you want to get a little taste of the 2023 model sooner. Experts predict that not much is going to change between model years, so the driving experience may be closer than you think.
