Next weekend, I’ll be changing the oil in my brother’s CR-V (I owe him a favor). What’s the oil capacity of a 2017 Honda CR-V? Also, what kind of oil do I need?
Reviewed by Shannon Martin, Licensed Insurance Agent.
Changing someone’s oil is a great way to pay back a favor! A 2017 CR-V with a 1.5 liter engine will hold about 3.7 quarts, while a CR-V with a 2.4 liter engine will require 4.65 quarts. In either case, 5 quarts of full synthetic SAE 0W-20 should do the job.
Don’t forget to change the oil filter as well—your brother will thank you for it.
