What’s the Infiniti QX50’s towing capacity?
My family and I are looking for a new car, and have settled on an SUV since we have kids. I want a luxury SUV so we can be comfortable, but my husband wants something more robust so he can tow his boat. I was looking at the Infiniti QX50, but he says it doesn’t have a good enough towing capacity? Is that true?

We wouldn’t necessarily say that the QX50’s towing capacity is lacking, because it is, after all, the baby of the bunch. If your husband has a good-sized boat like a pontoon or something larger, he might find the QX50 wanting, but if he’s got a fishing boat, it should be more than enough!
Properly equipped, the QX50 has a maximum towing capacity of 3,000 pounds, which is about dead center in the towing capacity range for compact SUVs. It’s more than enough for a small camper or a fishing boat.
