What’s the difference between a BMW SUV and a BMW SAV?
I’ve been shopping for luxury SUVs and I’ve noticed that BMW’s website has SAVs, but no SUVs. What gives? What’s the difference?

Fun with marketing campaigns is what gives! SAV stands for Sport Activity Vehicle and is just the name BMW has given to their lineup of performance SUVs.
These are still SUVs, but BMW has chosen to give them a unique name to highlight the sportier nature of these models. And sporty they are—some BMW SAV models claim a 0 to 60 time of 3.8 seconds, which is certainly quite active for an SUV!
