The 2014 Dodge Durango ticking noise has been well-documented among owners and by Dodge itself. In most cases, the cause of the ticking noise is a faulty rocker arm that’s part of the valvetrain component.
Rocker arms are supposed to last for the entire life of the car, but the ones in the 2014 Durango are known to break or warp in a significantly shorter time. While the part itself is rather cheap, accessing the valvetrain system is labor-intensive. Generally speaking, you can expect to pay around $500 to $1,500 to amend the problem.
