Will USAA drop me for a DUI?
I was nailed with a DUI a few weeks ago, and I know it will get to my insurance company soon, so I’m worried. Will USAA drop me for having a DUI on my record, or will it just increase my premium?

You’re right to be worried. A
DUI
conviction is a big deal on a driving record and can have severe implications for car insurance premiums. Luckily, USAA
won’t drop you because of a DUI on your driving record, but they will likely file an SR-22
or FR-44 form with your state after a conviction. An SR-22 is a form that your car insurance provider sends to your state’s motor vehicle department certifying that you meet the
minimum car insurance requirements in your state
for liability coverage
