What voids a BMW’s warranty?

I’m looking to buy a new BMW and I want to make sure I have all the warranty details down before I make the commitment. What voids a BMW’s warranty?

That’s a great question! While you may use non-genuine BMW parts for repair services, your BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty will not cover repairs for these non-genuine BMW parts or any damages that might occur because of them.
According to BMW, your warranty will be void for the following circumstances:
  • Specific vehicle components were previously replaced with used or salvaged parts
  • The true mileage on the vehicle can’t be determined because the odometer has been replaced or altered
  • The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) has been altered or cannot be determined
  • The vehicle has been declared a total loss or sold for salvage purposes
  • The vehicle has been used in any competitive event
Since you’re in the market for a new BMW, you’ll also need to purchase a great
