What type of oil does the 2010 GMC Terrain need?

If I change the oil in my 2010 GMC Terrain, what type of oil should I buy? I’ve never changed my own oil before but I’m fairly confident that I can do it.

Performing car maintenance tasks like oil changes at home is a great way to save money—provided you do your research first, of course. The 2010
GMC Terrain
needs synthetic 5W-30 grade oil. You’ll need about five quarts in total to fill up the oil reservoir.
Before you perform the oil change yourself, however, make sure to do a lot of research about changing the oil in your Terrain. Otherwise, you might end up back at the mechanic with a higher bill than the oil change itself!
