Utah defines reckless driving as willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property or disregard while committing three or more moving traffic violations. Thus, reckless driving isn’t just confined to speeding.
If charged with reckless driving in Utah, you face a Class B misdemeanor and penalties such as:
- Maximum fine of up to $1,000
- Up to six months in jail
- License suspension of up to three months
