What speed is considered reckless driving in Ohio?

I just moved in with my girlfriend in Cleveland after we graduated from college. I’ve never lived in Ohio before, but I want to go on a few road trips. My only issue is that I like to speed. Is there a speed that’s considered reckless driving in Ohio?

While no set speed is considered reckless driving in Ohio, excessive speeding could warrant a reckless driving charge. Ohio law defines reckless driving as wanton or willful disregard for the safety of persons or property.
Whether or not you’re driving recklessly is up to the police officer who pulls you over—he or she uses their best judgment, so you’re at their mercy if you’re speeding. Note that reckless driving in Ohio is a misdemeanor that carries a penalty of a maximum $150 fine and four points on your license.
Even though the penalties aren’t as harsh as other states, you should still avoid reckless driving to keep your car insurance rates down. Fortunately, the
