You’ll find Sabine National Forest in the piney woods of East Texas. Iit’s the eastern-most of the four National Forests in Texas, forming part of the boundary between Texas and Louisiana.
Angelina National Forest is in the upper Gulf Coastal province, where you’ll come across miles of gently rolling terrain. It lies in the Neches River Basin and on the north and south shores of Sam Rayburn Reservoir.
Lastly, the Davy Crockett National Forest, named after the legendary pioneer, covers more than 160,000 acres of East Texas steams, woodlands, wildlife habitats, and recreational areas.
