What is the Wisconsin speed limit?

I’m headed up to Green Bay to see the Packers play the Bears. I’ve never driven through Wisconsin before, but my friend told me to watch out for speed traps. Rather than risk driving too fast, I’d rather just drive the speed limit. What is the speed limit in Wisconsin?

If you want to make your way up to Green Bay without getting a ticket, the
Wisconsin
speed limit is a maximum of 70 mph. This speed only applies to the interstate, so if you’re going to take state highways, U.S. highways, or other roads, pay attention to the posted speed limit.
If you don’t see a posted speed limit, Wisconsin law has the following speed limit guidelines:
  • 65 mph on state highways and county roads
  • 55 mph on state highways, county roads, and the interstate near populated areas
  • 35 mph in sparsely-populated towns and villages
  • 25 mph in business districts and residential areas
