What is the Toyota Platinum Warranty?

What’s covered by the Toyota Platinum Warranty? I’m trying to pick the right warranty for my new Toyota and I want to make sure I understand what I’m getting.

A

Platinum Warranty will last for 3 years or 36,000 miles for basic coverage, plus a 5-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. This warranty includes everything in the standard Toyota warranty, plus:

Oil changes for three to four years or 45,000 miles.

Tire rotations for three to four years or 45,000 miles.

24/7 roadside assistance for three to five years or 60,000 miles.

Rental car assistance for five years or 60,000 miles.

None of these perks are offered on standard Toyota warranties since they cover things beyond factory error. A standard warranty only covers defects and problems with the design of the car, not maintenance!
