What is the penalty for driving without a license in Arkansas?

What happens if I get caught driving before I get a new license? My license expired and it's from out of state; I need to go to the DMV to get a new one.

“A conviction of driving without a license in
Arkansas
is considered a misdemeanor. It carries up to six months of jail time and a $500 fine.
Military personnel and farmers are exempt from certain licensing requirements.
To legally drive in Arkansas, you’ll also need to drive with
liability insurance
that meets the
