What is the most common car in Montana?
I live in Missoula, Montana, and I’ve been a man-about-town here for as long as I can remember. I’m in the market for a new car because I’ve driven a Lamborghini Countach in these parts (weather permitting, of course) for many years. But I’m sick of all the attention. So I’m looking for the most staid, unassuming car I can find. What’s the most common car in Montana?

Chevrolet stopped producing new Impalas in 2020, but you should be able to find plenty that are in great condition on the used market. Here’s the lowdown on your new, common (but dependable) ride:

- Features a roomy interior cabin—much more so than that cramped Countach.
- The last Impalas featured either a base 1.5 L 4 cylinder engine with 197 horsepower or the more powerful 3.6 L V6 engine with 305 horsepower (neither will remind you of your last car FYI).
- Gets nearly 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
- Provides a smooth ride, easily absorbs road bumps, and has a quiet cabin—a Lamborghini’s trademark roar is so passe, anyways.
- Chevy’s MyLink infotainment boasts standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and WiFi hotspot.
- The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration rates the Impala a perfect 5/5 for safety.
