is a fan favorite, as it was the final year of the truck’s second generation. If you want to keep it in pristine condition, the Ford Ranger 1997 takes 5 quarts of SAE 5W-20 oil. Since your truck has low mileage, you can probably forego high-mileage motor oil in favor of full synthetic motor oil or a blend. This should maintain great performance while also giving you between 5,000 and 7,500 miles between oil changes.
