Sports cars
are amazing, but not always practical if you have a growing family or need something that can haul groceries. This may mean settling for a sedan, but there are many practical options out there that still come equipped with plenty of good looks and speed.
Here are four sedans from some of the top
car brands
in the world that can outpace a sports car.

2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

The 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a favorite for
U.S. News
due to its sports car looks. It's still a true sedan, however, and comes with four doors and plenty of room.
The V8 engine is actually from a Ferrari, which makes this one of the most powerful sedans on the market. The V8 engine can produce 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.
The speed isn't too shabby, either. The 2021 Giulia Quadrifoglio can go from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. The top speed is 191 mph. Even though you may not be going that fast, it's still nice to be able to brag to your friends about it.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio costs around $74,750.

2021 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing

Cadillac may not have the reputation it once had, but the American automaker is working hard to make a comeback, and is even
beating out Tesla
in some areas. The 2021 CT5-V Blackwing sedan is playing a huge role in this and has some reviewers eager to see what Cadillac has in store next.
It comes equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that can produce 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque. This is more powerful than the previously mentioned Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. The CT5-V Blackwing can go from zero to 60 in 3.7 seconds and costs $84,990.

2022 Porsche Panamera Turbo S

If you've got $179,800 to spend, then the 2022 Panamera Turbo S should be on your radar. It comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 which generates 620 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque. This enables it to go from 0-60 in a mere 2.9 seconds.
The body looks as close to a sports car as a sedan can get, the colors look incredible, and the interior is just as luxurious as you'd expect from Porsche.

2021 Tesla Model S Plaid

The fastest sedan on this list is the 2021 Model S Plaid.
CARFAX
reports it can go from 0-60 in 1.99 seconds and has a top speed of 200 mph.
This is thanks in large part to not one, not two, but three motors, which combine to generate 1,020 hp. This electric vehicle can go 390 miles before needing to be recharged, making it one of the most powerful electric vehicles currently on the market.
The 2022 model has taken a bit of a hit for replacing the beloved round wheel with a
steering yoke
. It was a clear attempt to reinvent the wheel, which didn't go over as well as expected. In spite of this, the 2021 Model S Plaid has received lots of well-earned praise, and is the perfect choice for anyone who wants an electric sedan that doesn't give up speed to go green.
The 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid has a starting price of $129,990.
