I always thought Dodge cars were speed demons on the road, but this used Avenger SXT I’m eyeing looks pretty tame. How fast can the Dodge Avenger SXT go?

Dodge
has some pretty fast cars in its lineup, the Avenger is not on the high-end of the list. The Dodge Avenger SXT
has a top speed of around 115 to 120 mph depending on the model year and powertrain configuration of your car.The Avenger SXT saw some slower speeds compared to other Dodge vehicles because its tires aren’t equipped to handle much above 100 mph. You can find a used SXT with either a 2.4L four-cylinder or a 3.6L V6 engine, but the top speeds won’t vary, due to the tire rating restrictions.
Instead, these engine options offer improvements to agility with 173 horsepower on the low end and 283 horsepower on the high end in a 2012 Avenger SXT. The standard 2.4L 4-cylinder Avenger SXT has a 0-to-60 acceleration time of 8.8 seconds, but the 3.6L V6 sees that time reduced to a mere 6 seconds.
