What is the average speed of an electric car?

I’ve heard that electric cars are not quite as fast as gas-powered cars—is this true? What is the average speed of an electric car?

It’s true that
electric cars
are overall not quite as fast as gas-powered cars, but that shouldn’t impact your driving unless you’re a
professional motorsport diver
.
On average, the top speed for an electric car is usually somewhere between 140 and 160 mph.
This is slower than most gas-powered cars, but electric cars are still typically made with speed-limiters. Speed limiters generally aren’t included on gas-powered cars because you would need a very specific powertrain to reach high speeds, but almost all EVs are capable of lightning-fast acceleration.
Also, keep in mind that driving at high speeds for sustained periods of time will drain the battery quickly.
If you’re thinking about buying an electric car, you’ll need a
