I’m a trucker ready to invest in a better mattress for my truck. What is the average semi truck bed size?

The average semi truck bed size is 42 inches wide by 80 inches long, but yours might be different.
Due to the unique shape of your sleep cab, you can’t order a typical “king” or “queen” mattress. You’ll need to know the specific dimensions before ordering—and make sure you consider height, too. Note that the DOT has safety requirements for mattresses about fire retardancy.
While the most common size is 42x80, there are four other common sizes for semi truck bed size (as measured in inches):
  • 38x80
  • 36x76
  • 35x79
  • 32x79
Sleep is important for safety on the road, so congrats on taking your sleep seriously!
