The 2023 Chevrolet
Silverado 2500HD’s release date was July 18, 2022! That’s right, it’s out! The 2023 Silverado 2500HD was supposed to be a full refresh for Chevy’s iconic pickup, but the Covid-19 pandemic pushed that refresh back a year to 2024. The 2023 lineup will look just like the 2022 lineup did, save for a few minor changes here and there. But it will remain an ideal, trail-chomping pickup with which to clear your head.
The 2023 Silverado comes in five trims, the same as the 2022. At one end is the spartan Work Truck trim, a stripped-down rig for getting the job done. The opposite end of the trim line is the maxed-out High Country trim, which features a posh cabin, heated and cooled seats, a head-up display, and tons of interior storage.
A 6.6L V8 L8T gas engine with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque comes standard across all trims. However, there’s an option for a more powerful 6.6L V8 L5P turbo-diesel Duramax engine, which boasts 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque.
Here’s a quick price breakdown by trim:
All trims come with Chevy’s Infotainment 3 software and feature standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. The higher-trim models offer a large touchscreen and a seven-speaker Bose audio system.
