Kia Smart Cruise Control is the name of Kia’s adaptive cruise control technology. There are two types.
The first, simply called Smart Cruise Control, allows you to set a maximum speed for your car to travel, as well as a minimum distance to remain away from the vehicle in front of you. It will use this information to pace your car at the desired speed while braking when necessary to remain at your preferred distance from the vehicles ahead.
Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control employs all the same technology as Smart Cruise Control, plus the bonus of using navigation data. This allows the system to take into account slow speed zones or certain road conditions that call for reduced speed while driving.
