Giveback Credit was marketed as a discount program for drivers struggling to make ends meet in April of 2020. The program offered a 15% credit to both new and existing customers that chose to renew their GEICO policy.
However, GEICO has since faced lawsuits due to the fact that they withheld pandemic refunds from customers until those customers renewed their policies. This effectively forced people to remain GEICO customers if they wanted insurance relief. GEICO is still dealing with legal issues related to the Giveback Credit program.
