Is there a difference between expressway driving and highway driving? I’ve noticed that my driver’s ed book uses both of those terms and I don’t understand how they’re different.

The two terms are really similar, so it’s understandable that you’re confused! Expressways are sections of the highway where the speed limit is significantly higher, so you’ll need to be extra cautious when driving in these areas. They also typically have fewer entry and exit points so that drivers can maintain a high speed, meaning you won’t be able to pull off of the road as easily.
When driving on an expressway, it’s important to remain alert at all times. If you’re overwhelmed by the speed of the cars around you, try to stick to the right lane so that you’re not disrupting the flow of traffic by
