A lot of my friends are taking an intensive driving course before their test and recommended that I do too. What is an intensive driving course and is it worth taking?

Taking an intensive driving course might be a great idea!
An intensive driving course means taking driving lessons two to five hours per day. It is best for those who want to pass a driving test in one to two weeks. The normal timeline is several months.
Intensive driving courses help build your skills and confidence since you’re driving so much every day. However, these courses are not for everyone. The effectiveness heavily depends on your capacity to learn quickly and your instructor.
If you decide to do the course, here are a few questions to ask yourself before starting:
Do you have time? Be prepared to cancel plans once you start the course as you will be driving a lot over the next few weeks.
Which driving school should you choose? You’ll be spending a lot of time with the instructor so it is important to do your research. Research several schools to get a feel for their vibe, and stick with schools that specialize in intensive driving courses.
Does this suit my learning style? While a crash course can get your skills up to speed faster (pun intended), it may not be suitable for you if you prefer to take your time when learning.
Regardless of what type of driving course you take, you will need car insurance once you get your license.
