To get the flying car in Mad City, you’ll need to purchase it. It’s the second-most expensive car in the game with a price tag of $5 million. But it’s also one of only two land vehicles in Mad City with the ability to hover (so far).
The flying car is called the Thunderbird and is thought to be based on the DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future. While the Thunderbird has been relocated several times in the game since its debut in February 2019, you can currently find it at the airport, where you can purchase it.
Once purchased, activate the hovering function by pressing G while driving. It can go over any terrain, including water, while hovering. Customizing and adjusting the suspension will control how high or low the car is off the ground.
