What is a hit-and-run crash?
I’m confused by the definition of a hit-and-run crash. I thought it meant hitting a person and driving away, but I saw in the newspaper that someone got charged for a hit-and-run for hitting a truck. What exactly is a hit-and-run?

can involve hitting a person. However, hit-and-runs don’t just apply to people—they can apply to objects, too! If someone hits something or someone with their car and knowingly drives away the accident is considered a hit-and-run.While hit-and-runs are often portrayed dramatically on TV, some of the most common casualties of hit-and-run accidents are parked cars.
