What is a Chevy Equinox’s gas mileage like?
I currently drive a Chevy Malibu, but I’m about to have my first child and want to upgrade to a vehicle a bit higher off the ground for easy car seat access. I’m nervous about the gas mileage of an SUV though. I’ve been super happy with my Chevrolet, so I’m looking at the Equinox. What’s the gas mileage like for the newer models?

Chevrolet Equinox
gets 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, while the all-wheel-drive model has slightly reduced numbers. The 2022 model can go up to 483 miles on a single tank of gas with its 15.6-gallon tank. The 2022 Equinox starts at $26,995 and gets a 7/10 rating from Car and Driver. New Equinox models come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder direct-injection engine. The engine produces 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque with a towing capacity of up to 1,500 pounds. The Equinox also comes in four different trim levels:

- LT
- RS
- Premier
